The Basses Laurentides region offers loans in the form of microcredit as a means of financing the start up or expansion of a business project. They are intended for people who are excluded from conventional financing or have limited access to it.

Support for self-employment measure
Would you like to start your own business or become self employed? If you qualify for the Support for self employment (SSE) measure, you may be able to get financial assistance to develop your business plan and start your business, or to create your job.
To qualify for assistance, your project
- Must be viable;
- Must meet a community need;
- Must not compete unfairly with similar businesses in the same area.

The Fonds communautaire d’accès au micro-crédit, which has been accompanying promoters and their businesses in the Basses Laurentides region for over 22 years, has become MicroEntreprendre Basses Laurentides.
It is important to mention that the mandate of the organization remains the same. Thus, MicroEntreprendre Basses Laurentides keeps as its primary mission the development of the entrepreneurial potential of people with limited access to conventional financing.
